Discojack Finishes 2012 With A Hit On Suka Records
Suka Records unsurprisingly have come good at the back end of 2012 with the audacious “What U Gonna Do”, conceived by Albanian House specialist Discojack. True to his reputation as a dexterous producer of authentic and memorable dance-floor bombs – Discojack has once again shown that he’s not one to sit on the fence and follow any trends or overused styles of the time.
“What U Gonna Do” is a livewire of a House track that’s crying out for a winter celebration. Complete with a collection of cool-as-they-come vocal twists and stabs, the track breaks down into some friendly advice on the life of the party animal. The pitched down educator continuously asks “What U Gonna Do?” – a question that will no doubt resonate with most 3am clubbers in the world’s leading nightclubs. This track is more than just smooth and cool vocals though, the keys are suave and uplifting, without ever becoming overstated or overused in any sense, and the swelling bass pulls together the techy percussion like a bowtie on what would be a choice gift under any House music lover’s tree.
Suka records know how to put together a remix package as well with a triple serving of reworks from Jeroenski, John De Mark and Tom Leeland, all of which take their own direction of an original that has numerous layers of interest for remixing possibilities that are explored thoroughly by the trio on remix duties.
