My Digital Enemy Are Going Back To The Underground
Not content with just one top 5 release on the Beatport charts with ‘Y I Left U’, My Digital Enemy are wasting no time in offering up another three-track EP that looks set to do just the same. Released through their own label Zulu Records, Back To The Underground Volume II is already gaining spins from Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Annie Mac and DJ Target suggesting they’ve set themselves up nicely for another underground success:
Released on 1st February, Back to the Underground Vol II is the follow up from last years’ Volume I edition. The EP consists of 3 tracks, 2 of which have already been premiered by Danny Howard on his BBC Radio 1 Show:
‘It Would Be’ (Feat. Rowetta)
‘All The Time’
‘Do It Like This’
Showcasing their considerable production talents, the new EP features an unmistakeable ‘My Digital Enemy’ sound that has seen both Annie Mac and Pete Tong championing ‘Do It Like This’ and giving it some well-deserved radio play. It’s a seriously bass driven tech-house triumph with splatters of intriguing samples and hooky vocals.
‘It Would Be’ demonstrates the versatility of the duo with a clear Drum & Bass influence and the vocals of Happy Mondays’ legend Rowetta – it’s going to send dancefloors crazy.
Finally, ‘All The Time’ rounds off an already eclectic EP with the kind of rave stabs that ooze old school vibes and will have you yearning for a warehouse sound system in no time. It’s only February but My Digital Enemy have hit the ground running and don’t look set to stop any time soon. There’s only one place that they’re headed from here: Back To The Underground.
