refused. Records To Release Nuno Lisboa “Conflict” EP
refused. is back with yet another rib shaking techno production from artist Nuno Lisboa as he releases his EP – Conflict on July 8th, 2014.
The Portugal based producer is no stranger to creating tantalizing techno productions, as he’s been in the game since the age of 16. Inspired by artists like Richie Hawtin and Dubfire, Lisboa has curated a sound which is true to the minimalistic scene – keeping it dark, mysterious and an escape from reality. The EP features a trio of records – Conflict, Decals and Plucka, resonating the beauty of the underground.
Conflict – Takes you to another dimension where you feel like you could be running through the depths of a dark tunnel or forest, almost like a video game, trying to reach the end point. With a shaky bassline and trembling percussions – and swirling effects of euphoria, Conflict will take you for a trip down the rabbit hole.
Decals – Continuing the journey to the next level, Decals is the bass monster chasing behind you – the soundtrack for all creatures of the night. Taking you back to the early 80s with echoey sounds which almost mimics the infamous Super Nintendo effects of Mario hopping on magic mushrooms to grow larger in size- in which he would continue the journey. Decals is a record with an infectious groove and mysterious atmosphere.
Plucka – An intertwining of effects lurking in its depths, while the dub heavy bassline pumps away and a hefty kick propels everything forward. Conflict EP represents the original sounds of Nuno Lisboa, showcasing what’s to come from the up and coming techno producer. refused. will continue to release forward thinking music from talent around the globe.
