Al Walser 2013 EDM Grammy Nominee Leaves EDM for Rock
Deadly incidents at EDM festivals and Paris Hilton’s new Ibiza DJ residency has the world asking: Are the days of the “Button Pushers” and “Digital Priests” soon counted? Is Rock’s comeback next on the horizon? According to the EDM scenes own forefronters such as Deadmau5, the answer is yes.
In an interview with the Huffington Post he says: “Things come and go, wax and wane, ebb and flow. EDM is not exempt from the rule of the hive mentality taking over and people going ‘Wow!” he further states in a segment in Al Walser’s new music video “I Want My Money Now”, which takes aim at DJ’s, where Walser litterly shoots an EDM DJ in the chest for not making room to a real live Rock Band: ” I hope he (Al Walser) destroys Dance Music for live”!, Deadmau5 continues.
