Last Sunday, the city’s first music-centric flea market A Sunday Affair [ASA] drew some 2,000 visitors to TREC where the eight-hour event was held. Organised by TREC and LapSap, comprising artistes Blink and Xu as curators, ASA kicked off at 4pm on a cool Sunday afternoon.
More than 25 F&B brands participated in ASA including nearly 20 from Electric Boulevard, alongside food trucks.
Some 24 indie retailers lined the bustling Electric Boulevard that saw everything from retro accessories to records being sold. ASA added an exciting vibe to the city’s current offering of flea markets, turning up the tempo and energy from 6pm when the music performances began, as music lovers started to stream into TREC.
Australian singer-songwriter William Singe, who was ASA’s headliner, performed at the outdoor stage to an enthusiastic crowd. ASA closed the night with his performance and the after-parties continued at The Red Room and Zouk KL. Get set for the second edition of ASA on Feb 28. More details will be announced closer to date.
