With hard work, dedication and pure talent, Gina Star propelled herself and released “This Is Hollywood” which gained #10 spot in the Beatport Top 100 and #1 on the Progressive House chart. Soon after, she found herself being featured and supported by prominent DJs like Tiesto, David Guetta, Judge Jules and Pete Tong.

Who: Gina Star is a DJ & producer originally from Dallas, Texas. After moving to LA in 2006 to further her career, she was hailed by the LA Times and E! Entertainment as one of the most talented and sought after DJ’s in the city, and was welcomed into some of LA’s most exclusive V.I.P. celebrity endorsed nightclubs playing her own special style of big room uplifting house.
With a distinctive and uncompromising ear for good music, she accepted the position of Director of A&R at Thrive Records, home to some of the biggest DJs in the world including Oakenfold, Digweed and Deep Dish. Gina Star then released her debut single on Grammy nominated producer Dave Aude’s label, Audacious, which received rave reviews.
Moving across the pond to the UK in 2009 to further her DJ & production career, Gina Star has propelled herself into the limelight working with Toolroom Records and gaining support on her productions, notably Pete Tong spinning her Cirez D & Sunscreem mashup to the masses on his Radio 1 show.
Gina Star released ‘This Is Hollywood’ on Toolroom’s ‘Leaders Of The New School’ imprint, which entered the Beatport Top 100 at #10, and #1 on the Progressive House chart. David Guetta featured it on his internationally syndicated F*** Me I’m Famous radio show. The track features the instantly recognizable vocal talent of Roland Clark preaching ‘Welcome to Hollywood, what’s your dream’. The Miami edition of Tilllate Magazine featured Gina with a full-page article on her relocation to the UK and her current and upcoming projects.
