Stacey Jackson & Adam Tyler Release Hot New Singles!
New York, NY (January 23, 2012) – ADAM TYLER has finally answered the calls of his starving fans. The much anticipated video for ‘Like A Drug’ is finally here. Premiering on AOL.com today, this video is tantalizing feast for pop music fans worldwide.
Filmed on location in an abandoned warehouse outside of London, the completed video will surprise with a significantly grittier visual vocabulary than the artist’s previous work. Scale is decidedly embellished at every avenue: dance sequences feature elaborate choreography in big numbers, lighting plays a role rather than an accent, and styling choices heighten the dramatic power of a color palette dominated by dark black. The gutsy mastered cut will forever raise the bar for Adam, who remarks that the shoot was definitely unlike any other:
“The ‘Like A Drug’ music video shoot was by far my favorite video to film so far. I was insanely lucky to have such fantastic stylists and make-up artists on board for the video, and everything fit perfectly into what we were aiming for. As soon as I saw the venue we were filming in, I fell in love with it. I couldn’t hide my excitement throughout the whole shoot; the venue had a completely different feel. It’s my biggest video so far, taken to another level. It was a blast to dive in and get my hands dirty, quite literally! Seeing some of my ideas come to life in the actual video is amazing. I can’t wait for people to see ‘Like A Drug’ come to life with the video, and I hope people love it as much as I do!” – Adam Tyler The single itself springs from Adam’s summer album release-Shattered Ice-which since its launch has welcomed a slew of new fans, many of them shouting accolades from the press:
“His songs don’t play as mere musical byproducts in search of superstardom. He has a true genuine sound that pulls you in and when it lets go, you almost wish it didn’t. Thank goodness for the repeat button.” – Dallas Voice
“Marrying stellar vocals and sleek electronic and synth-based production, [‘Shattered Ice’] is truly a pleasurable listen all
the way through.” – Popbytes
“‘Like A Drug’ is a saucy, sexual stomper with provocative lyricism that you can’t help but notice…All-in-all, ‘Shattered Ice’ by Adam Tyler is an independent pop triumph” – EQ
“He is committed to the hooks he constructs around the danceable relentlessness of his production. The two work in concert to deliver a potent and celebratory revelation: pop music evolves and Adam Tyler is leading the charge.” – EDGE
