More Than 200 People Injured at Explosion in Taipei Water Park
More than 200 people injured at ‘Color Day Asia’ explosion in Taiwan. The weekend party ended in tragedy after an explosion was caused by powder spray which trigger combustion that caused the fired to spread. The tragedy at the party held at Formosa Water Park in Taipei injured more than 200 people and 80 with a sustained serious injury with burns covering over 40% of their bodies.

The fire department spokesperson gave statements saying, “Our initial understanding is this explosion and fire… was caused by the powder spray. It could have been due to the heat of the lights on the stage.”
“It started on the left side of the stage. In the beginning, I thought it was part of the special effects of the party but then I realised there was something wrong and people started screaming and running.”
In the video recorded below at the amusement park, the crowd can be seen running and screaming right after powder spray triggered the combustion.
