Whimsical Assortment Of Pizzas at Avanti
Bandar Sunway, Selangor, Malaysia, 24 March 2009 : Avanti Italian-American Ristorante at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa infuses fun into everyday dining with a variety of pizzas in scrumptious flavours and quirky shapes – square, oval, rectangular and the classic round – taking the limelight for lunch and dinner from 1 to 30 April 2009.
Contrary to modern-day pizzas that are baked using the sophisticated stainless steel pan, the restaurant’s Chef Shan and his brigade bake the pizzas in Avanti in the traditional Italian wood-fired oven, made out of refractory fire bricks. The pizzas thrive on the smoke and seal in the flavour, giving them the superior, classic taste and aroma.
The Rustica Pizza is definitely a yummy option for the conventional-at-hearts. With classic tomato sauce as its base, roasted chicken, mushroom, onion slices and cherry tomato top the pizza before being sprinkled with melting Mozzarella Cheese. Alternatively, the hearty Calzone Pizza is certain to please finicky eaters. Embedded with beef salami, turkey ham, egg yolk and mushroom, the pizza oozes with an aromatic, mouth-watering mixture of overflowing Mozzarella Cheese and Parmesan Cheese when served.
For those who fancy a little bit of everything, the Quattro Stagione Pizza is the perfect choice. Complemented by a generous slap of tomato sauce and a liberal spread of Mozzarella Cheese, Chef Shan refines the pizza with an appetising combination of beef sausage, smoked prawn, turkey ham and roasted capsicum. The Goat Cheese Pizza offers an adventurous experience for the palate, with tomato sauce at the bottom layer, followed by artichoke, sun-dried tomato and onion marmalade in the middle, and bits of goat cheese on top for a unique, acquired taste.
Go Oriental with the Beijing Duck Pizza. Marrying the tender smoked duck with leek and avocado, the pizza is drizzled off with plum sauce to give gusto to the tastebuds. For a healthier alternative, take delight in the Cold Salmon Pizza that incorporates smoked salmon on a bed of salad, red onion and dill, with dashes of sour cream.

Avanti is open for lunch on Tuesdays to Fridays and Sundays from 12.00noon to 2.30pm, and for dinner on Tuesdays to Sundays from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. The restaurant is closed all day Mondays, and on Saturday for lunch.
