This is one of the trending EDM news been circulating and sparked outrage on the social media about Will.i.am copyright infringement of ripping parts of the master sample from MatZo & Arty’s “Rebound” and use it on for his own single “Let’s Go” for #willpower album. The track “Rebound” almost having the same melody that can be heard on will.i.am song and by adding and editing certain part to make it different.
Arty posted on his Facebook and says, “This has actually happened: no contracts or licensing agreements — no deal at all!“, posted along with will.i.am song titled “Let’s Go”, featuring vocal Chris Brown.
They never cleared rights through Anjunabeats, who’s only one label, who ownes the rights for “Rebound”.

Here’s the original track “Rebound” by Arty & Mat Zo
Looks like one of the tweets by Chris Brown can’t be found anymore, might be deleted, and as he enraged on Twitter, “I don’t even know who mat zo Or arty is? I ain’t got shit to do wit if ur mad or not. Someone asked for a feature on a record and I did it.”
Looks like Mat Zo can’t handle this issue and deleted his account, he comments in longer words, “I really and truely appreciate all the support you are giving me and Arty in response to Will I Am’s copyright infringement. However, this doesnt excuse the horrific abuse youre sending the way of Will I Am and Chris Brown, and it especially doesnt excuse being racist.”
What a mess…
