The game-changing Imperial seeks to embrace the inner circle of the discerning and luxury-minded. Imperial is a symbol of the most exclusive reference points in the capital city of Malaysia, conceptualised by Zouk Kuala Lumpur’s founder Cher Ng.
Drawing inspiration from the realm of contemporary art, Imperial is fresh and sophisticated, with a wink to those in the know. She is nestled on the pinnacle of the aerodynamic architecture of Zouk Kuala Lumpur along Jalan Tun Razak at TREC, overlooking the expansive and luxurious Royal Selangor Golf Club, while sitting with pride of the 24-year-old heritage brand that is Zouk.
The intricacies embrace Imperial and one is enamoured by her beauteous attributes that define the grand dame of splendour. Intriguing geometric furnishings; a seductive curved bodice of a Dom Pérignon installation; a slide to its sister venue Members’ Lounge; and a private elevator taking you to this perfectly-cued venue where House and EDM reign.
Designed by award-winning American designer Phillips Connor of DB&B, Imperial is a hallmark of Connor’s creative work characterised by planning ingenuity, conceptual metaphor, sophisticated detail and speciality lighting into one worldly presentation.
Imperial has a vestibule approach that leads to a large open space. A column rises majestically from the middle into an organic-looking ‘tree’ that descend gently over the signature VIP pods. The perimeter of Imperial presents an arcade effect with its ‘soft morning-after’ lighting cast upon the lush fabrics giving it a soft elegant glow, accentuating the champagne and orange iridescence.
With an alluring, contemporary vintage appearance, Imperial exhibits textures of marble, polished metals and dark woods, set against the richly coloured sectional sofas that are a reminiscent of an era of groovy aesthetics that was a time of self-expression, underlining the spirit of freedom and decadence of Imperial.
